Pitcairn Island DXpedition, September 2024
I travelled to VP6, Pitcairn Island in the Pacific, and was active between 5th to 15th September 2024.
I flew to Tahiti on the 31st August, stopping there for a couple of days and continued on via Air Tahiti to Mangareva Island (Gambier) on the 3rd September. I finally took the Pitcairn Island's boat - the 'Silver Supporter' - for the two day sea trip to Pitcairn.
The return trip meant I arrived back on Mangareva on 17th September but as the next available flight back to Tahiti was on the following Saturday 21st, I stayed there for four days and had the bonus of activating Mangareva as FO/G0VDE.
I returned to the UK on the 24th of September (but my main case and antenna ski-bag arrived back on the 26th. However, that's a tale for my DXpedition 'write-up').
